Nigerian author, Reno Omokri has asked the Federal Government to put up photos of sterling Nigerians who have made the country proud in the International world.
According to him, pictures of WTO director-general, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, singers, Burna Boy and Wizkid should placed at the airports to welcome visitors who come to Nigeria and post their images on their stamps to project the Nigerian dream.
The three have all made their indelible marks in their chosen fields. Okonjo-iweala recently resumed office as the DG of the World Trade Organisation, making her the first female and first African head of the global trade body.
Wizzy and Burna recently bagged their first Grammy awards, to add to their collection of awards from MTV, BET, Headies and a host of others.
Taking to Twitter, Omokri tweeted;
”If we are a wise nation, we should use these national treasures (@NOIweala, @BurnaBoy and @wizkidayo) to promote Nigeria. We should have their images on our airports to welcome foreigners to Nigeria, and on our stamps, to project the Nigerian Dream”.
