Unknown gunmen have attacked a Fulani camp in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja, leaving one herder dead and scores injured.

The attack reportedly occurred on Friday morning behind LEA Nomadic School, near Gwako village, Gwagwalada.
The herder gunned down by the armed men has been identified as Goma Haruna.
Secretary, Gwagwalada chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Mohammed Usman, told journalists that the incident has triggered tension in the camp over fear of more attacks.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maryam Yusuf confirmed the incident to Daily Post.
She said operatives of the command have been mobilized to the area to track down the perpetrators.
