A woman identified as Nnaa and her two children were among six persons killed by bandits in Takanai community, Gora Ward,  in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

LIB reported that scores of others were injured during the attack which occurred on Tuesday night, September 26, 2023.

The injured victims are receiving treatment in some hospitals in the state while Nnaa and her children have been laid to rest.

Meanwhile, Executive Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council, Hon. (Dr) Francis A. Sani, paid a visit to the scene of the attack and condole with the families of the victims.

While interacting with members of the community and appealing for calm, he said the unfortunate attack is a tinge on the progress towards ridding the Local Government of violent attacks.

He urged all the inhabitants of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area to shun the needless path of violence and embrace peace.

The Chairman commended the security agencies and urged them not to rest on their oars, or let down their guards even in moments of peace so that we would not be taken unaware.
