Terrorists, locally known as bandits, on Thursday, invaded a mosque in the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to the report, the bandits abducted about 14 persons in the attack and rustled an unspecified number of cattle from Tudun Amada village.
However, it is unclear if there were any casualties in the attack.
Eyewitness reports reveal that the heavy bandits divided themselves into groups; some were at the mosque while others moved from house to house abducting people.
Some of them rustled hundreds of cows, sheep, and goats.
About three weeks ago, bandits abducted the wives and four daughters of Mallam Ibrahim Tanko, the Ssrkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara in Jere, along Abuja-Kaduna highway, Kaduna State.
The traditional ruler said the bandits, who wielded sophisticated weapons, invaded his house around 11:52pm on the day of the attack.
He said he managed to escape using one of the exit doors.
“It was after they searched and couldn’t see me that they went into a room where my daughters were sleeping and whisked four of them away at gunpoint,” he said.
The Sarkin Hausawa gave the names of his abducted daughters as Aisha Ibrahim, Farida Ibrahim, Zainab Ibrahim and Hussaina Ibrahim.
He said the bandits proceeded to a neighbour’s house and whisked away four residents alongside a nursing mother identified as Laraba Umar.
