A video showing the thirty nine students of the Federal College of Forestry & Mechanisation in Afaka, Igabi local government area of Kaduna state has being released by their abductors showing the students in their custody as they rocked military uniforms and are demanding the sum of N500 million ransom for their release.
Recall the gunmen stormed the school in the early hours of Friday, March 12 and kidnapped the students. It was reported that 180 of the students were rescued by the troops later in the same day but 39 of them which consists of 23 females and 16 males are still with the abductors.
In the video released, the students begged the Federal Government to come to their rescue by engaging with the abductors diplomatically and not by violence, because according to them that’s the only way they can safely return to their respective families alive.
